Redknapp Suffers Heavy Defeat on Return to White Hart Lane
- Updated: August 24, 2014

Harry Redknapp’s return to White Hart Lane wasn’t a happy one as Spurs ran riot in the first half with a convincing display, beating QPR 4-0 Sunday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men took charge of proceedings with a dominant first half performance putting them three goals to the good at the break, with Nacer Chadli (2) and Eric Dier finding the net.
With job done, Spurs relaxed in the second period but Emmanuel Adebayor still helped himself to a goal, as the visitors struggled to keep up with the slick pass-and-move style of the north London side.
It was in the first half when the damage was done however, with Spurs quick out the blocks – as they seek to lay down a top four marker – whilst Rangers looked completely flummoxed by their new-look 3-5-2 formation.
Rangers had a goal disallowed later on, but Spurs display will have left the home supporters going home happy.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have maximum points, and playing with confidence and swagger – built on the solid central base of Messrs. Kaboul, Vertonghen, Bentaleb and Capoue – they’ll offer a stern test to Liverpool when the Reds visit next weekend.
