Youth NGO Urges Babangida To Contest 2015 Presidential Election

The Niger state Governor and Chairman, Northern States Governors’ Forum, Alhaji Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu has been called upon to contest the 2015 Presidential election.
In a statement by the Youth for Peace Initiative, Babangida the group explained was called upon to run as he remained the peace icon, while his performance in the last eight years has been outstanding and exemplary, such that the state is now reputed as home of peace and development
“As an exemplary leader, Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu acquired the rare qualities of a public servant from a remarkable career in the public service that brought his natural inclination for serving people.
“We are convinced beyond all reasonable doubt of his singular suitability to be the guiding light of our voluntary initiative dedicated to enthroning peaceful coexistence among our highly traumatized and security,” the group maintained.
The statement which was signed by the group’s Public Relations Officer and national organizing secretary, Comrade Bello Bayero and Aminu Tijjani respectively insisted that Governor Babangida’s exemplary leadership qualities as demonstrated in the state must also be replicated at the national level, hence their resolve to urge him to aspire for the number one position.
