YABATECH Students Protest Death Of Female Colleague

LAGOS, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Students of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) Wednesday took to the streets in protest against the death of one of their colleagues.
The students, who moved round the campus and environs, linked their action to the poor attention paid to the ex-student by the school’s health authority.
The late female student who was rejected due to failure to pay N7500, requested by the school clinic, was however referred to the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute Metta.
The centre, it was gathered demanded for payment of N35000 before the late undergraduate could be attended to.
It was after then, the late student, left with her situation, getting more critical.
The student eventually died, hence the protest.
