We’ll Ensure Nigerians Regain Access -Twitter

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Twitter has stated that Nigerians will be able to access the microblogging site once again.

The federal government had on Friday suspended Twitter operations in Nigeria, accusing the platform of “undermining Nigeria’s existence”.

Commenting on the development on Saturday, Twitter, through its public policy handle, stated that open internet is an essential human right, adding that it is concerned about the restrictions on its operations in Nigeria.

“We are deeply concerned by the blocking of Twitter in Nigeria. Access to the free and #OpenInternet is an essential human right in modern society. We will work to restore access for all those in Nigeria who rely on Twitter to communicate and connect with the world,” it said.
