“We Have Not Made Ceasefire With Anyone”, Says Boko Haram in New Video
Featured, Latest Headlines Saturday, November 1st, 2014Boko Haram insurgents have distanced themselves from the claim by the Nigeria government and the army on ceasefire agreement saying in a new video “We have not made ceasefire with anyone.”
The leader of the insurgent group, Abubakar Shekau who resurfaced in a new video released on Frida, denied the ceasefire deal even as he claimed the abducted 200 school girls have been converted to Islam and married off.
“We have not made ceasefire with anyone. We did not negotiate with anyone. It’s a lie. We will not negotiate. What is our business with negotiation? Allah said we should not.” Shekau stated
Recall that on October 17, the Nigerian Army announced that a ceasefire deal was reached with the Boko Haram group and that the abducted chibok school girls would be released soon.
However, violence attacks that erupted since the announcement of the ceasefire show that the peace deal may not be true after all.
Only yesterday (Friday), the insurgent group pounded Gombe bus park with bomb explosion killing about 8 people while many sustained multiple injuries.
