Voting Begins In Parts Of Enugu Amid Tight Security
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Across Nigeria Saturday, March 18th, 2023(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Voting in today’s Governorship and House of Assembly elections have commenced in parts of Enugu state amid tight security in every nook and crannies of the state.
Accreditation began at 9: 15 am in some polling units located at Enugu South and North local government areas of the state
At Eha-Amufu in Isi Uzo Council Area of the state, Our Correspondent monitoring the polls, observed that the exercise was going on orderly and peacefully in pars of the Council Area.
Voting was going on peacefully at polling unit 006, Omulor political ward, Mgbuji, Eha-Amufu, where the Governorship Candidate of Labour Party (LP) Barr. Chijioke Edoga is expected to cast his vote.
Answering question from African Examiner, the Polling officer (PO) incharge of 022, pulling unit in same Omulor ward, Grace Udabuchi, said the exercise has been hitch free.
She said :”the BVAS machines have been working perfectly well, and we don’t have any issue here.
Our Correspondent observed that heavily armed Soldiers mounted check points at various locations and major roads in the state.
