US Attorney Billed For Fergusson For Teen Killing Investigation
Latest Headlines, News, World News Wednesday, August 20th, 2014As escalation rages in the city of Ferguson, Missouri, the United States (US) Attorney General, Eric Holder is expected in the area today (Wednesday) to stem the violence.
While on ground, Attorney Holder will carry out full investigations with respect to the killing of teen black teenager, Michael Brown by a Police officer, Darren Wilson on Saturday, August 9 as well as the latest killing.
Similarly, he will investigate the last Saturday escalation between the St Louis Police and protesting civilians in which scores sustained injuries and many arrests were made.
Still, the Police arrested 47 people while the latest protest lasted on Tuesday night.
Ahead of his visit slated for today, Holder has promised in an open letter published in the local publication: St Louis Post-Dispatch that justice department would defend the right of protesters on a peaceful demonstration.
The previous protests have involved police firing tear gas and shooting of rubber bullets at the unarmed protesters.
Brown according to the Ferguson Police video footage released early in the week, was killed about two weeks ago for stealing in a store. The revelation has been linked to the renewed fracas.
