US 2016: Donald Trump’s Campaign Manager Resigns

Manafort resumed two months ago after his immediate past predecessor Corey Lewandowsky was sacked
The former Campaign Manager’s exit was confirmed by Mr. Trump in a statement. Manafort first took control of Mr. Trump’s campaign after Lewandowski left in June.
The 67-year-old veteran political strategist has come under fire for his ties to Russian interests and former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.
However, it is not yet clear why he left the team, which has been overhauled earlier this week with the addition of a new campaign chief executive and a new campaign manager.
Trump has come under pressure in recent weeks after a series of controversial remarks and falling poll numbers.
