UPDATED: CCT Adjourns Saraki’s Hearing Till November 5 And 6
Latest Headlines, News Wednesday, October 21st, 2015Saraki’s Counsel argued that an appeal on the same case was still pending before a court of appeal. The leading Counsel therefore pleaded that the court be allowed to determine the appeal, before the Tribunal proceeds on its trial.
The appeal Court Monday announced indefinite postponement on hearing and ruling on Saraki’s appeal before it.
Upon agreement between the prosecuting Counsel and representative of the Attorney General of Federation, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs SAN) and Saraki’s Lawyers (the CCT Chairman, Justice Umar announced the new dates for hearing.
Saraki who entered the accused box for the second time, was accompanied to the Tribunal by about 30 loyal Senators, including his Deputy, Ekweremadu as well as supporters.
