ABUJA, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – After some minutes of confusion Monday morning, the controversial National Chairman of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alli Modu sheriff has eventually gained access to the National headquarters of the party in Abuja.
Recall, Modu Sheriff with some of his aides were earlier prevented from entering by the security operatives at the PDP Wadata plaza.
When the mild drama was resolved, upon the exit of the policemen, on the order of Inspector General of Police, (IGP), Mr. Solomon Arase, the former Borno State Governor entered the plaza at exactly 1.20pm.
It would be recalled Modu Sheriff recently got a court order to have access to his party secretariat as the National Chairman. Arase was then ordered to ensure strict compliance to the court’s directive.
The factional head of the PDP is billed to address the press today as he settles down in his office.
