UPDATED: Two Dead As Train Crushes Lagos Govt Staff Bus

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – An unspecified number of people have been injured after a passenger train crushed a Lagos State Government staff bus in the PWD area of the state.
The incident happened around past 7am on Thursday.
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Taofiq Adebayo, said rescue operation was ongoing.
“The accident recorded many casualties as the bus was fully loaded with govt staff going to office this morning.”
Two persons have been confirmed killed and many casualties were recorded when a moving train rammed into a BRT bus at the PWD bus stop in the Ikeja area of the state on Thursday morning.
“The State Government staff bus was trying to cross the PWD/Sogunle rail crossing while the train coming into Lagos from Abeokuta trapped the bus on its rail,” he added.
