Unknown Gunmen Abduct Popular Businessman in Bauchi

Uknown Gunmen have abducted a wealthy and popular businessman, Alhaji Manu Soro, in Soro village in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
Confirming the incident to African Examiner, Police Public Relations Officer of Bauchi Command, DSP Haruna Mohammed said the victim was abducted by unknown gunmen at about 8:10 pm Saturday,29th, March, 2014, after his prayers at a mosque behind his house.
The gunmen fired sporadically to scare away people before taking away their victim to an unknown destination.
DSP Haruna assured that efforts are being intensified to ensure he is rescued and to apprehend the fleeing gunmen. He advised residents of the town to remain calm and law abiding.
As at the time of filing this report, our correspondent gathered that the gunmen are yet to contact Alhaji’s Soro’s family.
