A University Don, Prof. Andrew Haruna, of the Department of Languages and Linguistics, University of Maiduguri, has berated the Northern part of the country for lack of selfless leadership and discipline at various levels of positions and endeavours.
This he said has contributed to underdevelopment of the region.
Prof. Andrew Haruna asserted this while delivering a lecture entitled: The Making of the Northern Elites: The Educational Predicament of the North and Challenges of Regional Integration, at the National Convention of Gindiri Old Students Association, held in Jos.
“Our biggest problem in the North is not lack of leaders, but lack of selfless leadership and discipline at various levels of positions and endeavours. The region is not difficult to govern; all what the citizens want is transparent honesty, equitable justice and they will follow”, he said
