Unity Schools Old Students Association Holds Its 29th AGM
Latest Headlines, News Sunday, November 1st, 2015The Unity Schools Old Students Association USOSA held its 29th AGM and plenary today October 31, 2013 at the NANET hotel and suites, Abuja.
The AGM was well attended with a total of 42 schools in attendance. The AGM reviewed the activities of the association in the last year and commended the out going executive on its proactive approach in engaging the federal government with regards to the education sector.
Specifically the AGM noted the association’s role in ensuring the safety of children in federal government colleges in the North East. The AGM also congratulated old students who have been elected and appointed into government and enjoined them to use their offices to foster unity and development of the nation seeing that they were beneficiaries of the nation’s investments in education.
The meeting ended with the dissolution of the old executive and the appointment of an interim executive committee headed by Mr Ayo Joseph, Director XS Energy Limited and an old student of FGC, Ilorin (1977)to drive the association preparatory to elections in the next six months.
USOSA is an umbrella body of 104 Federal Government colleges( unity schools) including Kings College, Lagos, Queens College, Lagos and all Federal Government and Federal Government Girls’ and Boy’s Colleges in the country. The Association began as the Pro Unitate Forum on February 23rd 2006.
