Twitter User Mocks Corrupt Atiku: “Careful What You Wish For”

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – A twitter user is trending on social media as he advised former Nigeria’s Vice President Atiku Abubakar to be careful of what he wishes for or he might end up in jail.
In commenting on the election of President Joseph Biden of the United States of America and resulting crises following President Trump refusal to accept the result of the election, Atiku tweeted as follows:
“Democracy is as often said, is a process. With the culmination of the process certifying the electoral college votes for @joebiden as the next president of the United states, it is clear that strong institutions are vital to the sustainability of democracy.”
However, replying to Mr Atiku’s tweet, a user @maveriq writes: “If we had a strong institution sir, you’d be behind bars. Careful what you wish for.”
The response has since gone viral on the internet as many Nigerians agreed with him that if Nigeria had a strong and fair law enforcement and judiciary as it is in the US, many corrupt politicians like Atiku would be in jail now.
