Troops Rescue Abducted Cameroon’s VPM Wife as Many killed in Operation
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Tuesday, July 29th, 2014The abducted wife of Cameroon’s Vice Prime Minister (VPM), Amadou Ali, has been successfully rescued by the troops.
The victim who was kidnapped with a community leader, Seini Boukar Lamine by members of Boko Haram, in the Northern town of Kolofata on Sunday was rescued in an operations that lasted for several hours and led to death of 16 people, reported BBC.
Cameroon’s Information Minister, Issa Tchiroma Bakary who announced the operations revealed that government was still investigating the abduction and rescue offensive to unravel the number of causality.
It will be recalled the Vice Prime Minister, Ali escaped falling the victim of the insurgents on Sunday as he was rescued by the security officials.
