Troops Intercept, Killed Fleeing Boko Haram Terrorists From Sambisa Forest
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Tuesday, December 8th, 2015The Military said Tuesday that troops fighting dreaded Boko Haram insurgents have intercepted some terrorists who attempted to flee Sambisa forest, via Pulka, Borno State.
Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman in a statement, explained during the encounter, many of the insurgents were killed while one was captured alive.
Usman indicated troops also recovered a General Purpose Machine Gun, several rounds of 7.62mm (NATO) ammunitions, 47 rifle magazines, 36 hand grenades and many Shilka gun empty shells.
Similarly, the Military has confirmed that troops on Monday afternoon recovered a Toyota Hilux, 2 boxes of 7.62mm ammunitions and some Improvised Explosive making Devices cords.
