The General Manager, LASEMA, Mr. Michael Akindele said a mound slide washed down by rain in the early morning rain led to the collapse of the bungalow, saying that the four children were buried in the collapsed building.
The father of the children is Godwin Odia, 50, from Edo State who escaped the tragedy by the whisker. The deceased are Isayo Odia, 23; Clinton Odia, 13; Da-silver Odia 15 and Endurance Odia, 10.
“The four dead bodies were recovered after digging through the sand. Another slide occurred six houses away from the incident site about 10.05am on another bungalow, but the occupant ran out immediately for safety,” said LASEMA boss
