Three Men docked for Illegal Possession of Firearms
Crime Watch, Latest Headlines Friday, December 27th, 2013Three person-Damilare Ajishebutu, Owolabi Omogoriola and Adewale Anjorin were on Friday docked before a Lagos High court sitting in Ikeja for an unlawful possession of firearms.
The trio and others now at large on 10th December, 2013 along Itokin road, Agbowa area in Lagos state, unlawfully had in their possession a locally made double barrel gun, a locally made single barrel gun, one locally made cut to size short gun and two life cartridges.
Police prosecutor Samson Ekikere said the alleged offences contradict the provisions of section 409 and 327 of the criminal laws of Lagos 2011.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge preferred against them.
Magistrate Oshodi Makanju granted them bail in the sum of N200,000 with two surety, one of which must be a blood relation and be gainfully employed in Lagos State.
The matter is adjourned to 27th January for mention.
