TB Joshua: Lagos Coroner Indicts Synagogue Church Over Church Collapse, Orders Prosecution Of Contractors
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Wednesday, July 8th, 2015By Ayo Balogun – Almost 10 months after the collapse of church building which killed over 116 worshipers and visitors, Lagos Coroner has admitted that the negligence by the authorities of the Synagogue Church of All Nations led to the unfortunate incident.
Justice Oyetade Komolafe in his ruling Wednesday, held that consequent upon the criminal negligence, the church, should be investigated and prosecuted for failing to obtain the relevant ratification before embarking on the construction of the six-floor guest house structure in its Ikotun Lagos suburb complex.
Similarly, the Jurist ordered that the contractors in charge of the construction should be prosecuted.
It would be recalled the Head of the Church, Pastor T.B Joshua, alleged terrorist attack as the cause of collapse which occurred late September last year. South African worshipers and visitors made the large number of the casualties. Several victims were also severely injured.
