Tambuwal Mourns GOK Ajayi
Featured, Latest Headlines Monday, March 31st, 2014Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has described the death of legal luminary, Chief GOK Ajayi SAN, as a huge loss to the legal profession in particular and the nation in general.
In a statement issued in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Malam Imam Imam, Tambuwal said GOK Ajayi was thorough disciplinarian whose works will be cherished for a long time to come.
He said the deceased was an inspiration and a role model who made immeasurable contributions to the growth development of the legal profession in Nigeria and beyond.
“GOK Ajayi was an advocate’s advocate and a legal titan. Though he made his name as a lawyer, his charisma, brilliance and philanthropy stood him out as a humanist who used his deep knowledge of the law to better the society, ” Tambuwal added.
The Speaker equally prayed to God to give his family and loved ones.
