Tambuwal, El-Rufai, Others Win APC Gubernatorial Ticket

Our correspondent reports that Tambuwal who recently dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for APC defeated other four aspirants to clinch the ticket.
In Kaduna state, a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nasir el-Rufai emerged as APC governorship candidate while in Rivers Consensus Candidate; Dakuku Peterside was merely ratified by party’s delegates.
In Taraba, Senator Aisha Al-Hassan Emerged as a Female APC Governorship Candidate
She polled 2425 votes to defeat three other aspirants in the primary election.
Senator Al-Hassan is currently representing Taraba North in the Senate. She is the Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Women Affairs.
Meanwhile, all APC governors seeking second term in office have secured the party’s governorship ticket in their states.
They are: Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), Umaru Al-Makura (Nasarawa), Abdulfattah Ahmed (Kwara), Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo), and Ibrahim Gaidam (Yobe).
