Syria: Troops, Russia Recapture Eastern Aleppo from Rebel
Latest Headlines, World News Monday, November 28th, 2016BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Latest reports confirm that Syrian troops have captured a key part of the eastern Aleppo and split the rebel-held territory into two.
The local media reported that while troops were seen dismantling mines and explosives, they carried on with their advances.
A monitoring group claimed that the rebels have currently lost more than a third of the previously rebel-held areas of Aleppo.
Following the fire exchange, many civilians have fled the besieged districts, while many families have been displaced within the area.
Also confirmed the attack was the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. It claimed that the district of Sakhour had fallen to the Syrian army.
Meanwhile, the Russia’s defence Ministry Sunday claimed that the Syrian troops have captured 10 neighbourhoods from rebels, while over 100 rebels had laid down their weapons and left the area.
