Suicide Bomber, 5 Others Killed In Yobe Church Attack
Featured, Latest Headlines Sunday, July 5th, 2015By Mustapha Abdul Salaam – A male suicide bomber and five others have been killed in Potiskum, Yobe State, North Eastern Nigeria.
The latest terrorist attack occurred later in the morning at a branch of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) located on Bauchi road in Potiskum metropolis.
The deadly attack sources told our Correspondent was targeted at the worshipers in the Church, as the eruption occurred when they were engaged in one of the sessions of the Sunday service.
The incident has been confirmed by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Mr. Toyin Gbadegesin.
Gbadegesin who made the confirmation in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, narrated that a male suicide bomber detonated a bomb at Redeemed Church at Jigawa area of Potiskum, “killing five on the spot.”
The State Police Command image maker, also informed that the sixth casualty, female, died in hospital, while receiving treatment. Mr. Gbadegesin confirmed that other victims of the suicide bomb were still in the hospital for medical attention.
