Wayne Rooney Trains Fully Since Defeat At Bayern
- Updated: April 18, 2014
Wayne Rooney is set to return for Manchester United against his former club Everton on Sunday.
The England striker trained fully for the first time since the Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich when he played despite fears that he had chipped a bone in a toe.
The United manager, David Moyes, suggested after that game that Rooney was unable to kick the ball properly but it appears that he suffered no more than heavy bruising.
Moyes, in his first return to Goodison since leaving to take over at United last summer, has to think about whether to start Rooney and also has a decision to make on Marouane Fellaini, who is also fit to face his former club following a calf problem.
