Van Gaal Close To Completing His First Double Signing For United
- Updated: May 22, 2014
Manchester United are almost certain to complete a double swoop for Toni Kroos and Luke Shaw.
United have finally agreed a deal in principle with Bayern Munich for Kroos after two months of negotiations, according to reports.
The Germany midfielder, 24, has a year left on his contract at Bayern and he’s been unable to agree a new deal.
Van Gaal is a big fan of the Munich star, who also caught the attention of David Moyes before he was shown the Old Trafford door.
Tthe deal is all but done and the 18-year-old left-back will become Van Gaal’s first signing.
The move could be completed before the start of this summer’s World Cup.
Van Gaal has been given a £200m transfer kitty to spend this summer as he goes about overhauling the United squad.
