Tottenham Plan To Appeal Wrong Kaboul Red Card
- Updated: March 11, 2014
Reports says Tottenham will appeal the red card given to defender Younes Kaboul during saturday’s 4-0 defeat to Chelsea.
The central defender was sent off on 59 minutes at Stamford Bridge after he was adjudged to have fouled Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o in the area.
Referee Michael Oliver sent Frenchman Kaboul off before Eden Hazard converted the resulting spot-kick to make it 2-0.
Replays cast doubt on Oliver’s decision and Spurs appear likely to formally challenge the decision.
