Rooney In Fellaini/Rafael Out As United Dare Bayern In Munich
- Updated: April 9, 2014
Marouane Fellaini and Rafael did not travel to Munich with the Manchester United squad today.
The pair, who missed training this morning, were the major absentees from United’s travelling party for tomorrow’s Champions League quarter-final second leg with Bayern Munich.
Jonny Evans, who trained with the squad Tuesday but who has not played since February 1, did not check in with the rest of the squad.
Wayne Rooney checked in with the United travelling party at Manchester Airport for the flight to Munich.
Ryan Giggs, left out of the win over Newcastle after aggravating a hamstring problem, was also included in the travelling squad.
Juan Mata, cup-tied having played in the Champions League with Chelsea this season before his £37.1m move to United, also travelled with the squad.
