Ikechukwu Uche’s current form surely must be giving Super Eagles technical crew some sort of sleepless nights as the country look forward to a decent outing at this year’s FIFA world cup in Brazil, as the Villarreal striker again scored in his side’s 2-0 victory over visiting Almeira on Sunday.
The former Getafe striker has now scored three goals in two matches following his brace in a la liga encounter against Real Sociedad 6 days earlier.
With three goals in two matches, the Nigerian is Villarreal highest goal scorer this season so far with 11 goals, followed by Brazilian Giovani Dos Santos, who has 8 goals.
Villarreal are now 4th in the Spanish La Liga behind Real Madrid, who are third.
The 30 year old will face serious competition from the likes of Emmanuel Emenike, Brown Ideye, Victor Moses, Shola Ameobi, Obafemi Martins, Sonne Aluko as well as some home based attackers, who are currently representing the country well at the on going African Nations Championship.
