European Champions Tempt United Target With £4m Lucrative Offer
- Updated: June 10, 2014
Real Madrid have reportedly offered Bayern Munich star Toni Kroos a lucrative £4m a year deal after tax.
The report further claim that Bayern have offered Kroos a contract extension but the new deal would only see him earn £3.25m a year before tax.
Real boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen to add more players to his star studded side and he has made Kroos one of his main summer targets.
Kroos, 24, has been linked with a move away from Bavaria since January and the Germany midfielder was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.
“There was a lot of speculation, but Manchester is and was not an issue” Toni Kroos said.
Kroos’ proposed move to Old Trafford would have seen the German international link up with former boss Louis van Gaal, who managed the young star during his time in charge at Bayern.
The German international ruled out a move to United last month and said that he expected to be playing his football with the German champions next season.
He said: “I am expecting to play for Bayern Munich next season,”
“There was a lot of speculation, but Manchester is and was not an issue.”
