Enyimba’s new signing scores a hat-trick as Super 4 battle in Abuja

New signing Abdulrahman Bashir has inspired Enyimba to an excellent start in the 2014 Super Cup after scoring a hat-tric to give his side a comfortable win over Bayelsa United at the Abuja National Stadium.
Bashir broke the deadlock when he jabbed in Markson Ojobo’s pass with 4 minutes to the end of the first half.
The former ABS player recorded two more goals in the second half, scoring in the 68th and 73rd minutes to seal a dream debut for the Aba team.
In the second game of the day, Warri Wolves defeated Kano Pillars 2-0 in what looked more like a one-sided game as Wolves dominated possession through the entire 90 minutes.
Kingsley Ikpofor sealed victory for Wolves with a late goal after Kola Anubi’s first in the 35th minute. scoring in the 31st.
With Friday’s results, Enyimba are on top of the table, with Wolves in second place.
The netx round of matches will see the opening day winners, Enyimba and Warri Wolves take on each other, while league champions Kano Pillar battle Bayelsa Unite with both sides looking for their first victory.
