Speaker of the of Representatives, Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has described the death of former Governor of Ondo State, Chief Olusegun Mimiko, as a monumental loss coming at a time his wealth of experience and fatherly advise was needed in the country.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Malam Imam Imam, Tambuwal said the deceased was a nationalist who championed the unity and tolerance among the people.

He described him as a fulfilled gentleman who shared his vast knowledge and experience with many politicians within and outside his beloved State.

While condoling with the people of Ondo over the death, the Speaker prayed the God to give the deceased’s family the fortitude to bear the loss.
