Olowofoyeku stated that the decision was reached by the zonal EXCO as it could no longer tolerate many undoing of its former Chairman.
He said that Filani’s manner of administration, handling of the party’s finance and other serious issues have remained source of worry in recent times to the party and its members.
Having received the support of two-thirds majority of the executive members to relieve the former Chairman, in line with the constitution, the party, Olowofoyeku stated was left with no other option than to sack Filani and elevate another EXCO member (Orimoloye) to the zonal Chairmanship position in acting capacity, until a substantive head is elected. His appointment was with immediate effect.
