Senate Postpones Screening Of Ministerial Nominees To Next Tuesday

The Senate Thursday announced postponement of screening of the remaining Ministerial Nominees till Tuesday next week.

The development was made public before the plenary, by the Senate interim Chairman Committee on Media and Publicity, Dino Melaye. He added that the exercise would be rounded off Wednesday next week.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki announced thursday that former Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi and Adebayo Shittu will be screened among other Nominees today.

Presentation and deliberation today, on the report of the Senate’s Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions on petition submitted on former Governor Amaechi, which was not available Wednesday, might be the major factor for the Senate’s decision.
