Security Operatives In Enugu Nab “Born Again” Boko-Haram Member at MFM Church

The Department of State Security Services, DSS, has nabbed a 35-year-old fake Boko-Haram suspect, operating as a repented Islamic extremist who recently converted to the Christian faith with the sole aim of currying financial gains from unsuspecting victims in Enugu.

Parading the suspect Thursday before newsmen at the SSS office in Enugu, the state Director, Mr. Victor Duru disclosed that the suspect has been going about hoodwinking innocent Nigerians using religion as his tool, saying the suspect has been on the nefarious act since 2001.

Mr. Duru said: “the suspect was arrested by operatives of this command on 23rd August, at Mountain of Fire and Miracles church, Zik, Avenue, Enugu.

“He has been going about with false testimony, deceiving people in the name of religion.

“He claims that he is a renounced Boko-Haram member who has converted to a Christian.”

Hear the SSS Director: “He started his deceitful life way back in 2001 in Christ Apostolic Church CAC, Abuja. He lied to one of the Pastors that he was a Muslim who converted to Christian, just to curry sympathy and financial help. On the basis of this false claim, he has been invited by several churches, sharing his testimony and making money out of it.

“Among the churches he has visited are; Four Square Gospel Church, Bodija, Ibadan, Glory Terbanacle, Bodeja, Ibadan, etc.

“Before his arrest on 23rd August, suspect claimed he was invited to Anambra by a church in Awka, Anambra state (Spoken Word Church) for a youth programme as a guest speaker. On his way back to Yola, Adamawa state on 21st August, the commercial bus he boarded broke down at 9th Mile, Enugu state.

According to him, the Driver refused to refund their fares and he was stranded, from there he found his way to Mountain of Fire and Miracles, Zik Avenue, Enugu where he solicited for financial assistance.

“It was in the process that our operatives picked him up” he explained.

Said Mr. Duru: “the suspect, Daniel Danboyi, aka, Shnaibu Rabiu, hails from Garshi district, Kuru falls, Barkin Ladi, Local Government Area of Plateau state speaks Berom and Hausa fluently.

The SSS Director, who was clad by the Enugu state chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria PFN, Bishop Obi Onubogu and Venerable Jonathan Agbo, of Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, during the briefing, had advised members of the public including churches to always be wary with the kind of people that come to them for testimonies and then infiltrate then to wreck havoc on their congregation.
