Scores Killed, Injured As Female Suicide Bombers Launch Fresh Attack In Maiduguri

BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Several people were killed and injured late Thursday as many female suicide bombers stormed Sageri, Ajilari and other communities in the outskirts of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, North East Nigeria and detonated explosive devices fixed on their bodies.
The deadly attack which occurred around 7.35pm, near one of the tea (Mai Shai) hawker points in the area, forced the intervention of men of the 7 Division, Nigerian Army, who reinforced with their artillery fire power.
Sources confirmed to AFRICAN EXAMINER Correspondent the female suicide bombers, sneaked into the midst of the victims, via tricycles, after which the explosives on their bodies erupted.
There is no official comment on the attack yet.
The vicinity (Ajilari) it would be recalled, last week Tuesday was under another bloody attack by suicide bomber. About 100 people were killed, while almost the same figure suffered severe injuries.
