Scores Killed In Clash Between El-Zakzaky Members And Soldiers
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Saturday, December 12th, 2015Scores of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria members were Saturday feared dead in a deadly clash which broke between the group and soldiers.
The clash occurred at the Husainiyya Zaria base, Kaduna state of the Muslim organization and left about 20 persons dead, according to eye witness accounts.
It was gathered that the soldiers first launched the attack.
Still, there is no official confirmation, on the reason for the attack on the group’s members. Still, there is an allegation that the soldiers’ offensive was informed by an attempt by the Shiites on the life of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant Gen. Tukur Buratai.
The organization has past of clashing with the Military. It lost some members last year, in a similar clash, including the Movement’s Leader, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky’s son.
The Military then claimed that they attacked the suspected Boko Haram members who have been terrorizing residents of the community.
