Scores Killed In Boko Haram’s Early Morning Attack On Damboa, Borno State
Featured, Latest Headlines Friday, July 18th, 2014An early morning disaster has again been recorded in Damboa community of Borno State, North Eastern Nigeria as suspected insurgents stormed the enclave and opened fire on the residents.
The assailants, source told our Correspondent, besieged the community very early and unleashed terror on the natives.
Damboa has been under persistent insurgents’ attack in recent times and attempt by the troops to return to the community has been resisted by gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram.
African Examiner Correspondent in Maiduguri could not confirm the death toll, but hinted by the community residents who managed to escape the latest attack that it was most likely to be high.
Borno state is one of the most hit states in the Northern part of the country, facing insecurity challenge.
The State hosts Chibok community where over 200 girls have been abducted three months ago by Boko Haram rebels and allegedly still being held in Shambisha bush in Chibok council area.
