Scam: Allardyce Regrets Action; Accepts Setback
Latest Headlines, Sports News Wednesday, September 28th, 2016BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Former England Manager Sam Allardyce seems to regret self-antics leading to his exit, but declared there is little he could do, as “entrapment has won”.
Allardyce unavoidably stepped down only 67 days after his appointment, due to publication by Daily Telegraph – an investigation which exposed that the embattled Coach advising undercover reporters, posing as businessmen on how to “get around” player transfer rules.
It was a “silly thing to do”, Allardyce declared.
The former Sunderland Coach was however evasive, when asked if the English team would be his last job. He replied and asked rhetorically: “Who knows? We’ll wait and see.”
“Unfortunately it was an error of judgment on my behalf; “I’ve paid the consequences. Entrapment has won on this occasion and I have to accept that” Allardyce added.
