Sales Boy Kills Madam With Pestle For Demanding Account
Featured, Latest Headlines, News From The State Thursday, May 7th, 2015FROM IGNATIUS OKPARA, Enugu – The ever busy Agbani Road in Enugu metropolis, was on Wednesday thrown into anxiety, following the discovery of the dead body of a 65-year-old, woman, Agnes Elue, killed by her sales boy.
A source in the area told African Examiner that trouble began when Agnes ordered her sales boy, identified as Joseph Ijeh, to render accurate account of the sales made in her shop for the day.
The deceased operates a joint located at Agbani Road in Enugu, and has the suspect as a waiter.
The state police public Relations Officer, PPRO Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident to African Examiner said the suspect hit the deceased with a pestle and escaped leaving her dead body inside one of the rooms for some days before it was discovered and reported to the police men.
It was also gathered that following the report, the police swung into action and the suspect was arrested.
According to Amaraizu, “following his arrest, the suspect, who gave his name as one Joseph Ijeh, and who has been living with the deceased for so many years, revealed that on that fateful day, the madam confronted him to render account for the sales he has made within the period under review.
“On a bid to relax in one of the rooms to wait for the account to be rendered, he hit the woman with a pestle, which caused the death of the woman” Amarizu told our Correspondent.
