Russian Authorities Deny Ownership Of Seized Weapons Aircraft
Featured, Latest Headlines Sunday, December 7th, 2014Another twist has assumed on the intrigues surrounding the aircraft loaded with the Military hardware and impounded Saturday at the Kano International airport, as the Russian authorities have denied the ownership of the neighbouring Chad – bound plane.
The country in a tweet, from its Nigeria’s embassy specified that the detained aircraft did not belong to Russia, as well as has no link with it.
“The detained Plane in Kano, allegedly carrying military hardware on board, is not Russian,” indicated the tweet. (@RusEmbNigeria).
The weapons studded plane was intercepted and detained by the security operatives at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano.
It was said to be traveling from Bangui, the Central African Republic capital, heading to the Chadian capital N’Djamena, but made an emergency landing in Kano, after which it was stopped by the Nigerian security officials at the airport.
