Rivers Rerun: Police Accuse Politicians Of Harbouring Criminals, Cultists in Hotels

Ahead of today (saturday) rerun election in Rivers state, South- South Nigeria, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Operations, Sotonye Wakama, has accused politicians in state of hiding criminals and cultists in various hotels in the state capital with the hope to use them to rig the poll.
He, however, warn such miscreants to better steer clear of election venues in their own interest or be prepared to face the consequence if apprehended.
AFRICAN EXAMINER reports that the entire state is already saturated with heavy security presence.
Since Friday morning, the state INEC office located along the popular Ikwere road had been a beehive of activity,amid intimidating security presence.
According to INEC, accreditation of voters is expected to begin by 8am on Saturday’s morning.
