Rivers Lawmaker Abducted By Gunmen

The Rivers State House of Assembly’s Chairman, Committee on Judiciary, Hon. Golden Chioma has been abducted by gunmen in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
Hon Chioma is a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), representing Etche Constituency in the State’s legislative house.
The State Police Command’s Spokesperson, Mr. Muhammad Ahmad confirmed the abduction on Wednesday said the kidnapping took place on Tuesday in the Diobu area of the state capital, adding that investigation was ongoing on the development.
Mr. Muhammad disclosed that Police detectives from the anti-kidnap unit and State Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), have been engaged to ensure the legislator regains his freedom.
