Rio Olympics: Britain Leads; Displaces China To Second Position

On the list of superb performance was Gymnast Max Whitlock’s with his historic double success on the floor as well as pommel horse which came either side of Justin Rose’s two-shot victory in the golf.
Also was Jason Kenny who defeated cycling team-mate, Callum Skinner for GB’s 14th gold.
While Louis Smith won silver in the pommel horse, Nick Dempsey put up similar performance in the windsurfing to put Britain on track in actualizing Rio medal target of 48.
Other likely winners to come later on Sunday include sailor Giles Scott – a gold in the men’s Finn class given the unassailable lead before Tuesday’s medal race.
