Ribadu Withdraws from Adamawa Governorship Race
Featured, Latest Headlines Friday, September 5th, 2014Former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has withdrawn from contesting tomorrow ruling PDP primary for the Saturday, October 11, 2014 Adamawa governorship bye election.
Ribadu who was granted waiver last Friday alongside two other aspirants to contest the primary announced his withdrawal last night in Abuja after a closed door meeting with the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) including the Senate President, David Mark at the Presidential Villa Abuja last night.
No reason was given for the latest development. Other seven aspirants of PDP are also expected to follow Ribadu’s suit ahead of Saturday’s exercise.
