Rescued Abducted Chibok Girl To Meet With Buhari Friday

BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Military has hinted that the abducted Chibok Secondary school girl, Amina Ali who was rescued by a member of Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) will meet with President Muhammadu Buhari Friday.
This was confirmed in a release by Defence Heaquarters (DHQ) Thursday morning.
“It is believed that she will be brought to Abuja tomorrow along with her parents to meet with Mr President”, said the Defence statement.
Military also informed that after preliminary investigation, the rescued girl and her baby were handed over to Borno State Governor, Kashim Shetima.
DHQ which disclosed that the hand over was done Wednesday evening at Government house, Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, by the Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Brigadier General Victor Ezugwu.
Amina was airlifted by Nigeria Air Force Super Puma aircraft from Damboa to Maiduguri alongside her supposed husband and suspected Boko Haram terrorist, Mohammed Hayatu.
Prior to that, the Military informed that they were examined at Air Force medical facility and were found to be stable while normal blood pressure was observed.
After the examination, she (Amina) was released to the Operation LAFIYA DOLE headquarters for further investigation and handing over.
In the meantime, the suspected terrorist is undergoing further investigation at Joint Intelligence Centre. Military added that Hayatu was well treated in line with Operation LAFIYA DOLE Rules of Engagement regarding insurgents who voluntarily surrender to the military.
