Prominent Nigerian Industrialist Olorogun Michael Ibru Dies

Family sources confirmed to Sahararporters that late Michael Ibru, died at age of 86, early hours of Tuesday in Florida, US. It was said that he has been battling with health challenges for over eight years.
Mr. Ibru’s death happened a month after the burial of his younger brother and first Executive Governor of Delta State, Olorogun Felix Ibru,
Olorogun Michael Ibru was born into the Ibru’s dynasty of Agbarha-Otor, in Delta State, South South Nigeria, in September 1930. He was a prominent Nigerian businessman and head of the Ibru organization – one of the largest conglomerates in Nigeria.
As a traditional chief of his homeland, Ibru had the tribal honorific “Olorogun” and often uses it as a pre-nominal style. This title is also borne by many of the members of his large family in the same way.
