Pope Calls For Prayers For Abducted Chibok Girls
Featured, Latest Headlines Sunday, May 11th, 2014Pope Francis on Sunday join other prominent world leaders calling for immediate release of over 200 girls kidnapped by Boko Haram from Government College, Chibok, Borno state on April 14,2013.
Pope in his tweets calls for people to pray for immediate release of the girls, via his twitter handle #Pontifex.
The spiritual head of Catholic Church tweets “Let us all join in prayer for the immediate release of the schoolgirls kidnapped in Nigeria. #BringBackOurGirls”
Pope’s comment on the issue is coming after US, UK and France deployed military personnel to Nigeria, to assist Nigerian security agencies to reduce the girls from the terrorist group.
The foreign military officers are now working with Nigerian Army in their search for the abducted girls from Sambisa forest.
