Police Redeploys 5 AIGs And 2 CPs

Five assistant inspectors general of police (AIGS) and two commissioners
of police (CPS), has been redeployed to zonal and state commands by the
inspector general of police (IGP), Mohammed Abubakar.
Force spokesman, Frank Mba, in a statement said the former CP Anambra
State, AIG Ballah M. Nasarawa, who was recently promoted to Assistant
Inspector-General of Police, has now been posted as the AIG in charge of
Zone 9, Umuahia, covering Abia, Imo, Enugu and Anambra State Commands.
CP Usman Gwary, is now in charge of Anambra State Police Command.
Other affected Senior Officers are AIG David Omojola, who has been
posted to Zone 11 covering Osun, Ondo, Oyo; AIG Tambari Yabo Mohammed,
who has been posted to Zone 1 comprising Kano, Jigawa and Katsina; AIG
Edgar T. Nanakumo, who is to take charge at Force Animal Branch; AIG
Mohammed J. Gana, who is posted to Zone 12 Bauchi covering Bauchi,
Borno, Yobe and CP Saidu Madawaki is now CP kogi state.
“The IGP charged the affected officers to ensure that they step up the
fight against crime noting that the posting is with immediate effect,”
the statement noted.
