Police Nab 4 Suspects in Bauchi for Allegedly Killing Female Student

The Bauchi State Police Command has explained that a female corpse discovered in Guru Village in Bauchi Local Government area of the state died in her effort to abort four months, two weeks pregnancy and arrested four suspects in connection with the incident.
Police Public Relations Officer DSP Haruna Mohammed told African Examiner in Bauchi.
Mohammed said, “We received a report that a corpse was found laying along Guru village off old Jos road Bauchi, the Scene was visited by detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer,DPO Station GRA division,and found a female corpse later identified as Blessing Musa Abarshi 23 yrs of Gudum Sayawa, Bauchi by her Father Musa Abarshi.
Preliminary inquiry revealed that the victim was a final year Bio/Chemistry student of College of Education, Azare.
He added that detectives photographed the corpse and took the corpse to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) for Postmortem examination.
Further investigation revealed that the victim died as a result of complication arising from illegal abortion.
The names of the four suspects arrested was given as Iliya Markus 21years,Kefas Adamu 22 years,Ahmed D Ahmed and Abdulrashid Bibi both workers at Comprehensive Health Center Tashan Babiye.
The Spokesman confirmed that the last two suspects admitted administering Eprostol 111 through her cervix to abort her four months two weeks pregnancy at the rate of N10,000 and the victim died in a House in Sabon Kaura and her body was dumped where she was found.
